When you’re looking for at a new city to call your home, location is an important variable to consider especially if you’re hoping to experience all the great things that particular neighborhood offers. It’s taken us a while, but living in Downtown Summerlin has finally become what we’ve always wanted it to be with ample options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. If we needed anything more, then Las Vegas itself is not too far away. Let’s break it down a bit more.
Getting Around Downtown Summerlin
Transportation is pretty simple while traveling to and from Downtown Summerlin. Accessibility has drastically improved, especially with the I-215 providing access to W. Charleston, Sahara Ave., and Summerlin Parkway which takes you into the Greater Las Vegas area.
Going out further to areas like Spring Valley and Henderson is a breeze thanks again to the I-215. Even though the reasons to leave Downtown Summerlin are slim, it’s definitely doable.
Where To Eat and Drink
With a huge selection of restaurants in Downtown Summerlin, you are dabbling with a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and craft beer & cocktails at Public School 702. Looking to go deeper into the burger realm? Ribs & Burgers is a fine choice for that, or Red Robin delivers on some very delicious burgers. Of course, Shake Shack is our standard, casual spot. We mentioned pizza earlier, and our go-to spot for that is Bonanno’s New York Pizzeria. If a little taste of the Southwest is what you’re looking for, then feast on chips & salsa while popping back the tequila at Casa Del Matador or Zaba’s Mexican Grill. There really are too many options, and that’s a good thing!
If branching outside of Downtown Summerlin is what you’re looking for, then the Red Rock Casino is just a short distance away and includes Yardhouse and T-Bones Chophouse.
Pet Friendly Activities
Living in Downtown Summerlin with your furry friend is one of the most ideal situations given our proximity to Red Rock Canyon National Park, the Red Rock campground, and the variety of trails that are within a short distance. Those areas are just a few locations to get everyone some exercise. The entire outdoor aspect of Downtown Summerlin makes pet friendly living incredibly viable, especially when the patio at Lazy Dog Restaurant has it all in the name.
Events in Downtown Summerlin
Being such a tight-knit community, Downtown Summerlin has many events that are exclusive to our little neighborhood. During the summer, Downtown Summerlin’s center holds the Summer Screen Series every Thursday that shows some of great throwbacks such as Finding Nemo as well as recent releases like Star Wars.
In between Crave and Wolfgang Puck, you can find live music performances every Friday from some local up-and-coming artists. Not a bad way to end the week here in Downtown Summerlin.
Downtown Summerlin, in partnership with TruFusion, has made it easy to stay active with Yoga on the Lawn every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-8pm. Additionally, Fit4Mom holds Stroller Barre Classes three times a week for your convenience.
And not to worry, our community here at Constellation will have everything our residents need for the lifestyle they are looking for.
Shopping in Downtown Summerlin
And at the center of it all…shopping. Just one look at the directory here and it becomes clear. Everything from American Eagle Outfitters to Apple to BCBG Maxazria is right here for the taking. Looking for the right scents? Bath & Body Works is your spot. Sporting goods? There’s a Champs Sports. And what about new decor and household items for your new apartment home?
